LA CLAUSTRA sprang from the vision of artist and sociologist Jean Odermatt.
LA CLAUSTRAis an interdisciplinary communication and research center. On a surface of 4000 m2, deep within the rocks of the Gotthard, you will discover a stylish and comfortable hotel equally well-equipped for your corporate seminars as for some time-out for individual guests.
LA CLAUSTRA, the unique hotel is situated at 2’050 m AMSL, in the heart of the Swiss alps on the San Gottardo pass. Today, the former artillery fortress offers modern conference facilities and comfortable rooms.
For a few special moments of well-being, the hotel provides a small steam bath, 2 Japanese Kusatso pools and a water grotto (cold water). The well-being area can be booked (60 m2) for 75 minutes of exclusive use. All rooms are equipped with warm and cold water straight from the own wells. Spacious showers and toilets (cabs) are available in adjacent rooms, just one door away. The temperature in the heated and air-conditioned interiors is a pleasant 20-22 degrees Celsius.
