Hotel Everland, France - "Mobile Luxury Hotel"

DESCRIPTION:
Everland is : 1 capsule measuring 35 m2 designed by 2 artists, 10.5 tons (fiberglass-covered wooden structure; interior carpeting and blue tiles for the bathroom). A 350 ton crane was needed to hoist Everland to the roof of the Palais de Tokyo. Everland spent 159 nights in Yverdon on Lake Neuchâtel for Expo. 02 (June through October 2002) and, following a pause on the roof of the artists’ home, an additional 400 nights in Leipzig on the roof of the city’s Museum of Contemporary Art (June 2006 to September 2007). Everland arrived in Paris on 16 October 2007 and will remain there until December 2008.
-Hotel Everland is a work of art AND a Hotel the same time.
-All guests are an integral part of the project.
-Hotel Everland was built as a one room Hotel it can't be modified, nor multiplied.
-To show Everland in partnership with an art institution is important, only this way it can be visited as an exhibition piece during the day. Also only this way the privilege of "staying over night as the only one in the building/area" is possible.-L/B does not consider to built more than one Hotel Everland. Source: everland.ch.
